Robbins, Russell was founded on the premise that complex criminal and civil litigation does not typically require hordes of lawyers and should not entail the exorbitant cost structure of many large law firms. The firm's lawyers have tried to verdict more than 150 civil and criminal cases, in such disparate areas as adversary proceedings in Bankruptcy Court, product liability, commercial fraud, auditor malpractice, employment discrimination, Federal Torts Claims Act, breach of contract, ERISA violations, tax evasion, mail and wire fraud, obstruction of justice, espionage, property crimes, and embargo violations.

Our firm also has handled a wide array of civil and criminal cases that were resolved favorably before trial. These include the defense of securities fraud and antitrust class actions seeking hundreds of millions of dollars in damages, RICO claims, and tort actions arising from multi-million-dollar business transactions. We have represented individual plaintiffs in cases alleging defamation and pharmaceutical malpractice. And we have participated in a number of cases addressing emerging issues of Internet law, including actions against Internet service providers seeking identification of individual subscribers and a lawsuit challenging a state anti-spam statute.

Our firm has exceptionally broad experience representing individuals and businesses in administrative and criminal enforcement proceedings of all kinds. Over the past several years our lawyers have represented clients in many of the most important and complex investigations of alleged financial and accounting fraud in the country. We have appeared dozens of times before the SEC and other federal regulatory agencies on behalf of our clients, including some of the country’s largest public companies and their officers and directors. We have also tried dozens of criminal cases.

The firm also has considerable experience in conducting internal investigations for a variety of organizations. Members of the firm have conducted internal investigations at some of the largest publicly traded companies in the United States, as well as within government agencies and non-profit organizations.
