Our expertise is grounded in our experience in bankruptcy administration. Since his appointment by the United States Trustee in 1994, founding partner Wendell W. Webster has served as one of the five bankruptcy trustees responsible for the administration of all Chapter 7 bankruptcies filed in the District of Columbia. The firm serves as legal counsel to Mr. Webster in connection with the administration of complex commercial estates and businesses, including the oversight of business operations and the sale of business assets. In addition, our litigation team has initiated bankruptcy litigation in numerous jurisdictions to recover assets for creditors. In one case alone, the firm recovered over $3.8 million for the benefit of creditors through the filing of twenty-three bankruptcy preference actions. The firm also initiates other actions for the creditors’ benefit, including to recover fraudulently transferred real estate and to contest disputed tax liens.
